As I close my chapter at the IMF, I’m looking back on seven incredible years at the Fund, working alongside dedicated and brilliant people. This is my trip down memory lane, capturing seven years in seven pictures.

1: In 2019, we were three women chief economists at the three big international economics institutions. With Laurence Boone and Pinelopi Goldberg at the Spring Meetings.

3: Joining the distinguished wall of IMF Chief Economists
4: I think as an institution, we really stepped up with the program with Ukraine – a first of its kind. A photo from my memorable visit to Kyiv.
5: Fond memories of the 2023 Annual Meetings in Marrakesh
6: I could not have done my job either as chief economist or as FDMD without the brilliant staff of the IMF.
7: With the women who hired me in my two IMF roles: IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva and President of the ECB Christine Lagarde at the G7 in Alberta.

It’s been an incredible 7 years at the IMF. Together, we deepened our commitment to our 191 member countries, helping them navigate global challenges. As I return to Harvard University as the inaugural Gregory and Ania Coffey Professor of Economics, I will use the rich experiences at the IMF to further research global challenges and help train the next generation of economists. Thank you to my inspiring colleagues and friends at the IMF who have been part of this journey.

Thank you #G20SouthAfrica for a very engaging and fruitful G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting in KwaZulu-Natal. I had lots of good discussions with counterparts from Canada, China, Denmark, France, Switzerland, the UK, and the US, discussing several important economic and financial sector issues as well as G20 priorities.
